Bloodwood is as hard to work with as it is beautiful. Being extremely dense and hard makes it great for all sorts of applications but it can be hard on tools. The outcome is worth it though!

Known of its unique striping, Zebrawood is a West African hardwood that is commonly used in furniture, cutting boards, instruments, and hand tools.

Sustainable sourcing of Zebrawood is important as it has seen a 20% decline in population over the past 3 generations. It is not currently listed as endangered.

It’s been coffee table galore lately!
Just delivered this piece to a client. They imported a marble top from India and entrusted me to build a sturdy base.
I am very honored to be entrusted with building a base to showcase such beautiful piece with a rich history!

From concept to reality! 🚀
A few weeks ago I shared a concept rendering of a build I was planning. An ambrosia maple and walnut top on an ash trestle base. I really like how it turned out!

The walnut accents really draw the eyes to the piece and highlight it as something truly custom. This isn’t something that can’t be found anywhere else. I plan on listing it for sale soon but I’m tempted to keep it for myself 😅

Base-ic? Hardly. 😎
Just wrapped up this custom black painted maple base for a client project. I love how the clean, dark lines anchor a room and provide the perfect foundation for a heavy-hitter top.

Staged it here with an ambrosia maple and walnut top to show off that contrast. It’s amazing what a custom-built frame can do for a piece of wood!
